The Acne Awareness Movement (“Mini Bumps”)

I call them “mini bumps” or “plain old acne”

I think these straight forward terms are helping people understand this situation better.

Here’s another contribution that is revealing the silent epidemic of conventional treatment failure:

Here’s a few cases of mini bumps for those who are seeking hope for this very common condition:

Hope these cases helped.

Hi, I’ve always had perfect skin until about two months ago. I’m 19 and have mini bumps on my right cheek, and one section where there seems to be a scar forming? I’ve googled everything. It’s not really the bumps that are getting me down, it’s the dark spot(s). I’ve tried bio oil, lemon juice etc but to no avail. Please help.

  14. Sinh Nguyen Says:

I’m 16 years old and I worked at a cafe shop where I’ve been exposed to second hand smoke. I think that’s the reason why I broke out. I used to be flawless on my cheeks until I started working .I believe that my skin absorbed the chemicals in the air causing me to break out. I think my blood capillaries are either infected or damaged. I have a lot of mini bumps all over my cheeks, temples, and jawline . I have a couple of cyst also. My face used to really be inflamed but ever since I quit, the inflammation is better now. Underneath my skin seems to be blood capillaries that have been damage . You can see it too. I feel like I repeated myself a lot but do you think your acne boot camp will help me?

Im 17 and I’ve had a problem with acne for about 2 years. It isn’t serious but I have a lot of small bumps on my face. I have been to the doctors twice who have prescribed me some pills but they both don’t seem to work. I have become very insecure about this and end up puttin makeup on to try and cover it but in the daylight it still shows them very clearly. I also get very greasy skin by the end of the day. Hello Dr. Neal,

I have suffered from mini bumps ever since puberty, I am 22 years old now and they seem to be getting worse. I used to have a lot of spots when I hit puberty but that is all away now and I usually get the odd one here and there. My mini bumps are mostly on my forehead, chin and cheeks. I have tried squeezing them but they are so many and are very bad and I end up scarring myself resulting in dark spots. They are almost like Milia type of bump. I do suffer from milia around my eyes. My skin is normal/combination, very dry around the nose/cheek area, and oily on the T-zone. What can you recommend to get rid of them to get a smooth complexion for good? Please heeelp! 🙂

    Hello,
I’ve been suffering with acne for about 5 years now. I have combination skin but my whole face will become oily by the end of the day. I suffer from what you call “mini bumps” and also some occassional larger bumps but there are always mini bumps covering most of the area of my cheeks and parts of my forehead. It’s became hard to feel confident about myself having these. While I do wear makeup to cover them up, I still can’t find the confidence I want. Hoping you can help me.

  47. Boris Says:

    Hello, Dr. Neal.
I am 25 (almost 26) years old male suffering from different types of mild form of acne for about 5 yeras, i tryed many things, bp, antibiotics, many types of pillings and different cosmetics with different acid’s (glycolic, salicylic, azeliac and others) and many other thnigs. Some thnigs helped me sometimes but i didn’t solve my problem at all. My problem now – Mini bumps on forehead, i suffers from it for about 3-4 years, got a big problems with self confidnece because of this. I can’t say that there’re a lot of them but if i see one i always try to squeeze them sometimes it work’s but offen i just damage my skin. The most of this mini bumps is what i call closed comedons, and some of them are little acne elemtns – so this is the main problem. Also i have some type of enlarged pores on nose (not very much and i can’t say that it suffers me very much but still) my cheek area is almost all right, some times some comedons and bumps but rare and it’s not a big problem. The chin is perfect. So i read and watched a lot of your videos it gives hope – and it’s very nice, BUT i still can’t understnad many things – how just a cosmetics without pillings without squeezing scin can help with mini bump problem, how can it help with exfoliaction of pores which some times hard to squeeze with hand – and it’s just a cosmetics. And 2nd question i don’t understand the ingridients – how can it works without retinol, acids ? Sorry for my English.
p.s forget to disribe my scin it’s about oily (not very oily ) on forehead and nose, and normal on cheek and chin. Thank you.

  48. DR Neal Says:

hey Boris, I sent you an email and a voice memo. Feel free to call or email me anytime.
    have a great day,

hi, dr. Neal, I have the same problem on my forehead and noise for 5 years, Now I am 19 years old, but I still cannot get rid of them. Then, I started to wash my face with different kinds of products, my forehead become oily. So I stopped to use products again. I only use oatmeal and honey because my skin is sensitive. 53. Mariam Says:

I have been suffering from mini bumbs for God knows how long. I tried everything; I’ve seen so many doctors, tried pills, scrubs, soaps, exfoliates and even aesthetics laser therapy. Nothing worked for me.

December of 2013, I stumbled on one of the Acne Practice’s videos on YouTube and decided to check out their website. I was surprised to see so much information on the type of acne I was suffering from; mini bumps. I saw tons of testimonials and videos and decided to give it a try.

I received the acne boot-camp kit in January and OMG did I see a world of change in just two weeks!!! I noticed 80% reduction of my mini bumps and on my 3rd week I didn’t need to put on so much foundation and concealer and my skin looked healthier and less greasy. Marks started to fade and inflammation and redness began to subside. In almost a month I stopped wearing foundation all together. I would just put on spot concealer on certain areas and walk out the door! For people who don’t have acne, they can never understand the gravity of walking out of their house, let alone the bathroom, without a thick layer of makeup just to look normal.

I suffer from Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and when my hormonal imbalance gets worse at times I get some breakouts here and there but I understand that the Acne Practice is just skin deepl and not systemic and in order to get my acne situation under control I need to get my hormones in check. However, the world of change of the before and after is amazing. Smaller pores, smoother looking skin, less oiliness, and marks are almost all gone with no additional treatments.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much, Dr. Neal!

  54. Dr. Neal Says:

    you’re welcome Mariam,

thanks for sharing your experience! (that’s what the movement is all about)

    -Dr. Neal
